Water closure work

Dear Parents and Carers,

Re: Emergency School Closure – Wednesday 14th October 2026

We regret to inform you that, due to a burst water main affecting the school's water supply, we have made the difficult decision to close the school today.

Unfortunately, the disruption to our water supply means that we are unable to safely operate the school. In particular, this affects:

Toilets and handwashing: We cannot guarantee sufficient water for flushing toilets or maintaining appropriate hygiene standards.
Food preparation and cooking: Our school kitchen cannot safely prepare and serve meals without a reliable supply of clean running water.
Drinking water and general hygiene: We cannot ensure that adequate water is available to meet the needs of pupils and staff throughout the school day.

The health, safety and wellbeing of our pupils and staff must remain our highest priority. We therefore have no alternative but to close the school until a safe and reliable water supply can be restored.

We appreciate that this decision has been made at very short notice and understand the inconvenience and disruption this will cause to families. Please be assured that this decision has not been taken lightly.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely and will update parents as soon as possible regarding arrangements for reopening.
